Mosiac Knitting - Pressed Flowers Hat with Jennie Shipley
Wednesdays, January 11th and 18th; 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Have you ever wanted to try colourwork but thought it was too overwhelming? Well mosaic knitting would be a great place to start because you get all the beauty of working with colours but only using one colour per row!
This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up and the colours are done by mosaic knitting and reading a graph. This pattern is super addictive and once you finish the hat you will want to tackle the shawl and cardigan!
Here is what you will learn in the class:
- working in the round (magic loop, circular small circumference or double pointed)
- mosaic knitting
- graph reading
Skill level required: Advanced beginner knitter – intermediate knitter. Must be comfortable knitting and purling with basic increases and decreases.
Materials: (please ensure that all materials are purchased prior to the class and yarn is wound into a ball (if purchased as a skein))
